Annual Kálmán Lecture established

We are pleased to announce that the 1st Kalman Lecture will take place on the 24th of August, 2018.

The Kalman Lecture will be established as an annual public lecture and is named after Rudolf Emil Kálmán, the co-invented and developed of the Kalman Filter. The new annual lecture series will give insights into current scientific topics at the interface of machine learning, statistics and applied mathematics.

We are very pleased to welcome Prof. Dr. Andrew Stuart from Caltech as speaker for the 1st Kalman Lecture. Andrew Stuart is a renowned scientist in the field of data assimilation and will give a talk on "The Legacy of Rudolf Kalman". Please find the abstract here.

The Kalman Lecture will take place at 10.15 am in building 27, room 0.01 in Golm.
