I did my Bachelor and Master degrees in Pure Mathematics where I mostly focused on Topology and real analysis. For my PhD, I moved from studying abstract questions to ones that have a more apparent connection with natural sciences like physics. I did my PHD in a topic that connects Large deviation theory with Gradient flows on the Spaces of Probability measures, getting this way some experience on problems related to Statistical Mechanics. In my last job, I was exposed to machine learning, and I developed a special love for Metalearning. During my career I changed various research topics in an never ending quest of finding a topic that exhibits the golden ratio between challenge and impact. Currently I am working in a group where Bayesian tools are used for machine learning and general optimization.
