Co-organized Training School on Data Assimilation: Theory, Algorithms, and Applications

Université de Montréal08.-10.05.2019

The training school is part of the 50th anniversary program initiated by the CRM (Centre de recherches mathématiques) and will take place at the University of Montreal. The three topic of the school are Data Assimilation, Inverse Problems, Machine Learning.

This training school will be aimed at developing the fundamental mathematical and computational tools which underpin the subjects of data assimilation (DA) and machine learning (ML). It will be aimed at both graduate students from the mathematical sciences and from application domains in which DA and ML techniques are being used. Successful completion of the training school will equip participants to engage with the workshops which form part of the month long program.

Lecturers:
Eldad Haber "Machine Learning"
Sebastian Reich "Data Assimilation"
Andrew Stuart "Inverse Problems"
