Co-organized workshop - Data Assimilation: Methodology and Application

The workshop is part of the 50th anniversary program initiated by the CRM (Centre de recherches mathématiques) and will take place at the University of Montreal. The organizers are Antony R. Humphries (McGill University), Sebastian Reich (University of Potsdam) and Andrew M. Stuart (California Institute of Technology). Please find more details here.

The 3-day workshop on Data Assimilation: Methodology and Application will emphasize both the mathematical underpinnings of Data Assimilation (DA) and the development and use of DA techniques in application areas in the geophysical sciences, where the field was initiated, and in emerging applications in biology, medicine and the social sciences.
