Congratulations to Alexandra Carpentier on Her ERC Consolidator Grant

We are pleased to congratulate our PI Alexandra Carpentier on being awarded a highly competitive ERC Consolidator Grant for her project
“Statistical Optimality and Computational Efficiency: batch and sequential unsupervised learning under additional structure and sampling constraints.”
This grant represents a significant recognition of Alexandra’s research and her contributions to the field of statistical learning. The ERC Consolidator Grant supports mid-career researchers in advancing ambitious projects and strengthening their independent research profiles.
Her award comes as part of a particularly competitive call. In 2025, the European Research Council selected 349 researchers from more than 3,100 applications, reflecting a 35 percent increase in submissions compared with the previous round. Funded through the EU’s Horizon Europe programme, the grants support frontier research across 25 countries and span a broad range of scientific disciplines.

We are delighted to see Alexandra’s work receive this recognition and look forward to the progress and insights that her project will generate.
