From the 19th until 21st of September the PhD students and PostDocs of the SFB1294 assembled at Kiez Bollmannsruh in Brandenburg for their first Jamboree. This annual event is aimed at bringing all young researchers of the SFB together to report their research, exchange and discuss ideas as well as to get to know each other through team building activities. During the mornings, recent results were presented in one talk per project and complemented by a poster session on Wednesday afternoon giving rise to a lot of scientific discussions. On Thursday, collective bodywork was needed in the team activity where A and B projects had a dragon boat race on the nearby lake Beetzsee. Additional time was scheduled to work within and across projects and for all PhDs to meet with one of the cohort mentors. The days were rounded off by evenings spent together BBQing and baking Stockbrot over campfire.

The Jamboree was organized by Theresa Lange, Sahani Pathiraja, Alexander Zass, Dimitra Maoutsa and IRTG coordinator Liv Heinecke.
