Paper by Schwetlick et al. named Paper of the Month by the university's Research Focus Cognitive Science

The paper  "Modeling the effects of perisaccadic attention of gaze statistics during scene viewing” of our doctoral researcher Lisa Schwetlick and our PI Ralf Engbert together with their co-autohrs has recently recieved the newly established paper of the month award of the university’s Research Focus Cognitive Science (RFCS). The RFCS represents the University of Potsdam's interdisciplinary research which combines psychology, linguistics and philosophy as well as sports and health sciences, mathematics, physics and computer scientists. Since the beginning of 2021 the Paper of the Month is awarded by the board of directors.

In January Schwetlick et al. recieved the award for their paper which presents a unifying approach to two research traditions on eye movements. The authors show that millisecond-level attention shifts influence the more macroscopic level of fixation selection during scene viewing.
