Spring School 2020
-Unfortunatly our Spring School has to be cancelled due to the current situation concering the Corona Virus-

The third annual SFB Spring School will take place from the 16th (arrival on the 15th) to the 20th of March 2020 at the Hotel Schorfheide Döllnsee.
All members of the SFB, a delegation from the RIKEN Center for Computational Science led by Prof. Takemasa Miyoshi and a delegation from the University of California, San Diego, led by Prof. Henry Abarbanel will discuss recent scientific advances and will have time to advance collaboration across projects.
We will furthermore have two invited guest speakers. The program will include talks and lectures, exercises, two poster sessions and a social activity. A number of places will be openly advertised for external PhD students and Postdoctoral researchers to participate in the Spring School.
Our invited guests for the 2020 will be Prof. Sean Meyn from the University of Florida and Prof. Almut Veraart from Imperial College London.
How to prepare:
Please make sure that you download the newest version of R as well as R Studio to be able to participate in some of the exercises. If you wish, you are welcome to prepare for the guest lectures by reading the material that has been mailed to you on the 2nd of March.
How to get there:
In order to get to the location of the Spring School, we organized a bus, which will leave at Potsdam Hauptbahnhof (main station) on Sunday the 15th early afternoon at 3 pm. We will meet at the bus stop in front of the main station at 2.45 pm. Please make sure you are on time as the bus cannot wait for you. the direction on how to get from the Airport Tegel or Schönefeld to the meeting spot can be found here.
We will drive back from the Hotel Schorfheide Döllnsee on Friday, the 20nd around 1.30 pm. The bus ride will take approx. 1.5 - 2h each way.
